Zoo Med Repti Calcium without vitamin D3

Phosphorus-free dietary supplement for reptiles and amphibians. We use only precipitated calcium carbonate, which is white in color and basically does not contain lead. Pure calcium carbonate is white, not gray. Due to impurities in other sources of calcium carbonate (e.g. calcium from oysters), the additive looks gray. The calcium carbonate particles in Repti Calcium have a unique shape and an extremely large surface area per gram, which results in greater bioavailability of calcium - the additive is absorbed faster and easier into the animal organism. With Repti Calcium, you can be reassured that your reptiles are getting a highly bioavailable source of calcium carbonate that does not contain harmful impurities. Reptiles that benefit from UVB lighting, either the sun or UVB bulbs (e.g., Zoo Med’s ReptiSun or PowerSun UV bulbs), may not need vitamin D3 supplements. Reptiles synthesize vitamin D3 in their skin after exposure to UVB and heat. If you want a vitamin D3 supplement, use Repti Calcium with vitamin D3. For a complete supplement of vitamins and minerals, use Reptivite with or without vitamin D3.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:

Insectivores: place the crickets in a plastic bag together with Repti Calcium and shake them by “dusting” the crickets with powder. Offer about 12 powdered crickets a week for every 71 grams of body weight.

Herbivores: Add to food about 1/2 teaspoon of Repti Calcium for every 142 grams of body weight on a weekly basis.

Omnivores: Use any of the above methods if desired.
